Accountant for the Regional CAREN Support Office
Term for which this role will be required: 12 months (with the possibility for extension)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Accountant of the CAREN Support Office will provide accountancy services for further developing activities of the CAREN Cooperation Center (CAREN CC) and contribute financial support for CAREN project programs
MAIN RESPONCIBILITIES
- Bookkeeping and implementation of effective spending of CAREN CC budget
- Ensure monthly and annual reports of CAREN CC to Tax Department, Social Fund and National Statistics of the Kyrgyz Republic
- Financial support in the implementation of CAREN CC business plan
- Documentation of CAREN CC activities
- Organize travel and accommodation arrangements for CAREN CC events participants and prepare reimbursements
- Accounting of CAREN project event budgets
- Support in preparation of the regional CAREN conference financial report
- Report to the regional coordinator of CAREN project and assistant of the regional coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent – Mandatory
- At least 5 years of experience in finance, accounting
- Excellent report writing, communication and time management skills
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of labour legislation and tax law of the Kyrgyz Republic
- Good knowledge of Microsoft software packages, 1 C accounting program
- Good knowledge of English and Russian required. Additional fluency in Kyrgyz preferred.
