The 18th ceremony of awarding the participants of the International Festival “Choice of the Year” held on November 23, 2018 in the Great Hall of the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic.
Askar Kutnov, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences, was recognized as the winner of the “Public Recognition” in the nomination “Scientist of the year” for his contribution to science, research, education and innovations. In September 2018, Academician Askar Kutanov was awarded by the “U.N. Denisyuk Medal” for his scientific contribution in the field of holographic technologies.
The national project “Choice of the Year” was initiated as a public national project and supported by Kyrgyz Government, media and society of Kyrgyzstan. The mission and credo of the project is Proud Patriotism.
The festival “Choice of the Year” has international status and is held in five CIS countries: Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Belarus.
Analytical support was provided by Center for the Study of Public Opinion “El-Pikir”. Along with the socio- survey, experts vote based on the data provided about the participants and their own professional experience, to make their final verdict.
Each year, the results of the selection are subject to mandatory audit. The official auditor of the project for the season of 2018 is CJSC Audit-Consulting Company “Kyrgyzaudit”.
